Central Library

The Library Department of Nagpur Institute of technology was established in 2008. It serves as a knowledge base containing resources not only in the print form but also in digital media. The library aims at developing a comprehensive collection of Books, Journals and various documents which are useful for the faculty and students in their education and research activities in the institute. The Library is open to all students and staff members from 9.30 am to 5.00 pm on all working days. There is a rich collection of volumes of textbooks, reference books, National and International Journals in all branches of Engineering, Science, Technology, Management and General Studies. The Library makes efforts to increase this collection periodically.

NIT has always recognized the significance of enrichment of academic that takes place with the contribution of the Library. Department of Library at NIT is a member of National Library Network – DELNET and National Digital Library. The detailed Information regarding National Program on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) Resources are also available for the user community. Library functions such as Acquisition, Circulation, and Cataloging have been automated using integrated software Sack Info with Web OPAC solutions.

• As such, we are continually updating our holdings in the library and through our subscription databases, and following current and future trends, so that our students will be best served in a changing economic and technological world.
• We provide Library orientations and workshops with students, faculty, and staff, to support the curricula offered by the College.
