Mechanical Engineering Department runs UG program with intake of 60 students approved by AICTE, New Delhi with effect from 2008-09. The department is equipped with dedicated and competent faculty members to impart quality technical education, project guidance, personality development to enable students to be placed with reputed organizations. With the vision to bring out cultured Engineered Engineer the department is going ahead to benefit the society at large from its inception.
Mechanical Engineering is recognized to be the back bone of any industry with amazing versatility. The program includes a deeper scientific study of number of engineering sciences to which the students are introduced at the core curriculum level. The department has state of art laboratories to impart sound practical knowledge of the subject.

Head of the Department
Mechanical engineering is connected with designing machines, evaluating and manufacturing mechanical production and systems. The chore concerned in this branch comprise designing machines and gathering engines, power plant, vehicles and arrangements of numerous elements and properties. In order to be a Mechanical Engineer, students need to have an indulgent of the core concepts of mechanics, thermodynamics, structural study, electricity, materials science, and kinematics. Nagpur Institute of Technology being one of the best mechanical engineering colleges in Nagpur offers mechanical engineering full time programof 4 years. After completing this course students will have good job opportunities in their hands such as they can work in aerospace, automotive, computer, communication, power generation and approximately all manufacturing industries. Students pursuing mechanical engineering can also work in maintenance and service profiles in all leading industries.
Vision
To foster Mechanical Engineering graduates by imparting quality technical education through need based technical skills with ethical values
Mission
