Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)
In view of the performance evaluation and assessment of the existing procedures and practices, the Institute has devised a mechanism for Quality Sustenance measure. The said mechanism is operational since many years. A formal structure has been constituted in the form of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in June 2018. For the earlier academic sessions, the role of Quality Assurance was carried out through Academic Monitoring Committee (AMC) and Dean Academics office. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the AMC/IQAC has become an integral part of the Institute’s system. It has blended itself towards internalization and institutionalization of quality enhancement initiatives. It forms a facilitative and participatory unit of the Institute. It suggests a work plan to achieve the objectives and specifies the checks and balances to evaluate the degree to which the tasks are fulfilled. It sets out the procedures and instruments for assuring quality in efficient and effective way. It formulates modalities to collect data and information on various aspects of institutional functioning through IQAC Coordinator. It derives major support from the already existing units and mechanisms that contribute to the functions.
