About IEDC

Nagpur Institute of Technology, Nagpur have dedicated “NIT’s Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Cell” (IEDC) to create the culture of Self Employment. Cell is always enthusiastic to motivate students and provide platform to students for converting their innovative Ideas into reality in the field of innovation & entrepreneurship. Cell is regularly organizes students interaction with successful entrepreneurs to promote sprit of Entrepreneurship in the budding Engineers. Cell is also organizes Entrepreneurship Awareness Program, Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights , business idea hackathons competitions for students in association with various prestigious government & private organizations.

Objectives

To create entrepreneurial awareness/culture in the students.
To provide a platform to interact with successful entrepreneurs & start their own startups business.
To conduct entrepreneurship awareness and skill development program with the support of government funding agency like DST, MSME, MCED, KVIC, VIA etc.
To develop accountable and ethical Student Entrepreneurs in the Society.
To promote women entrepreneurship & social entrepreneurship.

Functions/Activities

To interact regularly with students for keeping sprit of innovation & entrepreneurship career in the budding Engineers.
To organize interaction of successful Entrepreneurs with students.
To organize interaction of distinguished speakers from DST, MSME, KVIC, MCED, VIA etc to aware students about latest government schemes, Intellectual property rights, Entrepreneurial finance etc.
To identify and address the gap in entrepreneurial issues.
MoU with funding agency, Startups to conduct Entrepreneurship awareness and skill development training program.
To depute faculty and students to participate in Entrepreneurial Activity and competitions.
