Information Technology
Information Technology is an engineering segment which concentrates on the study of using computers and telecommunications to get together, accumulate, manage and flow of information. Both software and hardware subdivisions are a portion of Information Technology.
The Dept. of Information Technology, at the Nagpur Institute of Technology , came into existence in 2008 with the student intake capacity is 60. The aim of the department is to provide quality education and training to the students with dedicated young energetic faculty members, technical staff, well equipped laboratories and innovative academic processes. Information Technology is used in almost every sphere of profession, making the process much easier, by developing competent and effective solutions to real life problems. IT sector is growing at fast pace and creating ample opportunities in India and abroad for deserving candidates having employable skills. The Department is equipped with excellent computing facilities. The Internet facility is extended to the students free of cost. The laboratory is available to enable students work on independent projects and to gain hands-on experience Since its inception, the Dept. of Information Technology has been strengthening its resources and providing state of the art facilities to foster the spirit of learning and development of professional skills. The IT Dept. makes full utilisation of its Laboratories in its attempt to put into practice theoretical concepts and getting the students industry ready. It also encourages students to take up challenging projects and internships at the National and International level in order to fine-tune their technical skills. We are proud to state that our Department has given better placement with good package to the students till date and is running to the Centre of Excellence which conducts number of value added courses for the knowledge and skills upgradation of the students to cater the need of current corporate scenario.
